Redskins Read Second Place Celebration
As the second place winners of the 2016 - 2017 Redskins Read Program, each student at Swansboro Elementary School in Richmond received two new books and a backpack to take home, donated by the Redskins Charitable Foundation.

The Redskins Runway Show brought together Redskins players, alumni and fans for an evening of fun and fashion to support the Redskins Charitable Foundation – 10% of purchases made at Bloomingdale’s that night will support the Redskins Charitable Foundation’s youth programs across the region. The evening’s runway models consisted of 50+ Redskins players, alumni, and their wives.

The 4th & Life High School Football Forum focuses on preparing high school student-athletes for life after football. Redskins players in attendance participated in a panel discussion which touched on a variety of topics, such as coping with peer pressure, staying healthy and planning for their academic and athletic futures. The panel, emceed by NFL alumnus James Thrash, provided high school athletes with the unique opportunity to engage in a wide-ranging dialogue with Redskins players.

The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation kicked off the 4th year of Redskins FITT presented by Aquafina with a KaBOOM! Sport Court build at Charles Hart Middle School in Washington, DC. In partnership with District of Columbia Public Schools, the Charitable Foundation created Redskins FITT (Frequency, Intensity, Time & Type) – a youth health & wellness initiative – to empower and assist middle school students in the development of their personal fitness goals. Redskins players, alumni and staff worked to build the brand new multi-sport play space.

The Back to School Fair provides children with a central place to be completely prepared for the upcoming school year. Participants were able to receive services including dental exams, vision screenings, haircuts, new books, school uniform elements, and brand new school supplies and backpacks as well as other essential items from a variety of partner companies and organizations. Each family also received two tickets to the Redskins vs. Ravens game courtesy of the Washington Redskins.
PHOTOS: Loads of Love Ribbon Cutting At Carver Elementary School
The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and current Redskins players worked alongside Bon Secours Health System volunteers to renovate a brand new Loads of Love laundry center space at George W. Carver Elementary School in Richmond, Va. on Friday, Aug. 2. The laundry center provided students experiencing homelessness or unstable living situations with access to clean clothes at no cost to them or their families.

The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation hosted athletes from Special Olympics of Virginia and Dreams for Kids DC. This event kicked-off the season for Special Olympics VA football, and invited athletes to Redskins Park to participate in football related drills and activities to introduce them to the sport.

Yellow Ribbons United (YRU), in partnership with the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, hosted it’s second annual United in Play on Saturday. Children from both military and civilian families participated in a fun filled day of physical activities at Redskins Park.

The Redskins Charitable Foundation brought together the 2019 team, coaching staff, and alumni out on the course for a great event that benefited children in our community. The Tournament is a net scramble format with an NFL Alumni or current player Team Captain leading each foursome.
