Redskins Sign Three Players Following Rookie Minicamp Tryouts

The Washington Redskins have added three players following the team's annual rookie minicamp with the signings of Casey Dunn, Vontae Diggs and Darvin Kidsy.

The Washington Redskins announced on Monday that they have signed offensive lineman Casey Dunn, linebacker Vontae Diggs  and wide receiver Darvin Kidsy  following rookie minicamp tryouts this weekend.

In corresponding moves, the team waived wide receiver Mikah Holder and also waived center Sean Welsh with the left squad designation.

Dunn joins the Redskins after spending a graduate season with Auburn in 2017, where he made night starts at center. He was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week against Georgia in November.

Prior to his time with the Tigers, Dunn began his collegiate career with Jacksonville State, where he earned both first-team All-American honors from Walter Camp and second-team All-American honors from the Associated Press in 2015.

Additionally, he was a first-team all-Ohio Valley selection.

Diggs, meanwhile, joins Washington’s offseason roster after spending four seasons at UConn where he collected 183 tackles (100 solo) along with four passes defensed, three fumbles forced and one sack.

As for Kidsy, he began his college career at North Texas before transferring to Texas Southern where he totaled 86 receptions for 1,058 yards and five touchdowns.

In his three seasons at North Texas, Kidsy appeared in 30 games, tallying 48 receptions for 539 yards and two touchdowns.

During the 2017 season with Texas Southern, Kidsy caught 37 passes for 512 yards along with three touchdowns, all of which were career highs.
