The Washington Redskins announced on Tuesday the signing of free agent guard Isaiah Williams.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In a corresponding move, the team waived guard Arie Kouandjio, designated as injured. Kouandjio reportedly suffered a torn quad.

Williams, 25, returns to Washington after spending the entirety of the 2016 season on the Redskins' practice squad along with a stint on last year's offseason roster.

After being waived during final cuts last September, Williams spent time on the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad before joining the Indianapolis Colts' active roster in Week 6.

The Cleveland native spent five weeks on Indianapolis' active roster before being waived and re-joining the team's practice squad for the final seven weeks of the season.

Prior to his NFL career, Williams played collegiately at Akron where he appeared in 45 career games for the Zips. During his senior season, the 6-foot-3, 306 pounder earned third-team All-MAC honors after helping the offense average nearly 165 rushing yards per contest.

With his addition to the roster, Williams joins fellow guards Brandon Scherff, Shawn Lauvao, Kyle Kalis and Tyler Catalina.

Williams will wear No. 60.
