The Washington Redskins have added Kenny Ladler, a defensive back who has spent the last two years in the CFL, as a Reserve/Future signing.

The Washington Redskins on Tuesday announced the signing of defensive back Kenny Ladler to a Reserve/Future contract.

Ladler, 25, previously has NFL experience with the Buffalo Bills, as he appeared in two regular season games during the 2014 season. He recorded four tackles combined in those outings.

Over the last two years, Ladler has played for Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. As a linebacker for the Eskimos, Ladler has appeared in 34 games and recorded 156 tackles, five interceptions, three fumbles forced and scored one touchdown, a pick-six against the Calgary Stampede during the 2016 season.

Additionally, Ladler recorded 13 special teams tackles during his two seasons in the CFL.

Prior to his professional career, Ladler played collegiately at Vanderbilt, as he recorded 201 tackles with nine interceptions, nine passes defensed, five fumbles forced and two fumbles recovered in four seasons.

During his senior year, Ladler led the Commodores with 91 total tackles while pacing all NCAA Division I-A players with five fumbles forced. He was named a first-team All-SEC selection by the coaches.

Ladler was also named to the SEC All-Freshman team in 2010 after he finished the year with 57 tackles, one fumble forced and one interception.

In Washington, Ladler is reunited with fellow Stephenson (Ga.) High School product Preston Smith.
