The Redskins added to their wide receiver depth on Friday, signing Brian Quick to a new contract. He appeared in 11 games in 2017, his first year in Washington.*

The Washington Redskins continued to make moves in free agency, officially bringing back wide receiver Brian Quick on Friday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Quick, 28, is a veteran of six NFL seasons, recently finishing his first as a member of the Redskins after spending the previous five with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams. In 78 career regular season games, the 6-foot-3, 218-pounder has recorded 111 receptions along with 1,575 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Last year, Quick played in 11 games, starting just one against the Seahawks, where he recorded the biggest of his six catches on the year. Quarterback Kirk Cousins floated a high pass to his right, leading Quick to open field as he turned his head around to find the football for a 31-yard completion.

The catch was instrumental in setting up the game-winning drive in the final minutes of the fourth quarter in Seattle.

At the end of the play, Quick took a hard blow from safety Kam Chancellor and managed to hold onto the football, but the hit placed Quick into concussion protocol, forcing him to miss three of the next four games. He finished 2017 with 76 receiving yards, often the fifth option at wide receiver for most of the year.

Quick experienced his best statistical output in 2016 putting together career highs in receptions (41) and receiving yards (564) along with three touchdown receptions. Additionally, Quick had seven receptions of 20-plus yards and three that went for 40 yards or longer.

After getting off to a slow start in 2016 with just four receptions for 31 yards in the first two games of the year, Quick had the best five-game stretch of his career over the next month, catching 16 passes for 326 yards.

The only other significant time Quick missed came in 2014, when he played just seven games after tearing his rotator cuff and was placed on Injured Reserve.

With Quick returning to the group, the Redskins now have six wide receivers on the roster, including Jamison Crowder, Josh Doctson, newly signed Paul Richardson Jr., Maurice Harris and Robert Davis.
