Reports: Redskins Agree To Terms With LB Nate Orchard

According to reports, the Washington Redskins have agreed to terms with outside linebacker Nate Orchard.

Orchard, (6-4, 251), a five-year NFL veteran, entered the league after being selected in the second round (51st overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. He spent three seasons with the Browns from 2015-17, before stints with both Buffalo and Kansas City in 2018.

He was signed by the Redskins prior to Week 13 of the 2019 season.

Orchard appeared in each of the five remaining games for Washington following his signing. He tallied a career-high 14 total tackles (eight solo), one sack, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery. He also added a blocked punt against the New York Giants.

For his career, Orchard has appeared in 43 regular season games with 13 starts. He has totaled 83 tackles (51 solo), 6.0 sacks, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, six passes defensed and one interception.

Orchard played collegiately at Utah where he appeared in 24 games over two seasons. In 2014, he was a recipient of the Ted Hendricks Award, given to college football's top defensive end.

Orchard, 27, attended Highland H.S. in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on January 5, 1993.
