Redskins Name Todd Kline As Chief Commercial Officer

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have named Todd Kline as the team's Chief Commercial Officer.

"I have always been impressed by Todd's strategic vision, leadership skills and ability to create meaningful partnerships. We are excited to bring an executive of his caliber to the Redskins and I have no doubt that he will have a great impact on our business and in the community."

Kline will oversee sponsorship sales and activations, media sales, suite sales and service, and special event sales.

"It is an honor to join the leadership team of such a legendary franchise," Kline said. "I look forward to working with Brian and his entire team to develop and execute a plan that can best fuel and support our organization's vision."

Kline joins the Redskins after having previously served as Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer for the Miami Dolphins. From 2015-18, he oversaw all sponsorship revenue and activation for the Dolphins, including corporate partnerships, media sales and media rights. Kline's team solidified the 18-year agreement between the Dolphins and Hard Rock International for naming rights of Hard Rock Stadium and also made the lifestyle brand the official Miami Dolphins hotel and resort, casual restaurant partner and hospitality sponsor.

Prior to his tenure with the Dolphins, Kline worked for AEG Global Partnerships as Senior Vice President of Partnership and Media Sales, overseeing sales and client activation for the cable television network, AXS TV, as well as AXS Ticketing and the AXS.com Digital Network.

During his seven-year stint at AEG, Kline launched the "Partnership Innovation" group, which provided consulting services and industry-leading best practices to the worldwide AEG Global Partnership Sales and Activation teams. In addition, Kline created award-winning partnerships and activations at signature AEG assets such as Staples Center, L.A. LIVE and The 02 London Arena.

Before joining AEG, Kline spent three years as Senior Corporate Marketing Manager for the NFL Players Association. Kline also served as an Account Director at GroupM ESP.

A native of Swampscott, Ma., Kline earned a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in marketing at Johns Hopkins University.
