Redskins Fan Showed His Sportsmanship On Monday Night

While Redskins fans don't have any reason to re-live the team's 26-15 loss to the Panthers last Monday night, they should take some pride in the way they one of their representatives responded through a time of fandom adversity.

Near the end of the first quarter, quarterback Cam Newton connected on a touchdown pass to wide receiver Tedd Ginn, who, like Newton normally does, wanted to hand the ball away to a fellow Panthers fan.

In what was a disappointing time for fans donning burgundy and gold, one in particular decided to display some good sportsmanship. Sitting in the front row behind the end zone, Jonathan Adkins, wearing an Antwan Randle-El jersey, lifted a young Panthers fan up to the edge of the row to receive the touchdown ball from Ginn.

Adkins recently graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., and plays lacrosse at Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania. His father, Andrew, has been a Redskins Dream Seats season ticket holder for many years.

In the season of giving, this was a nice portrait of the best in Redskins fans.
