Redskins safety D.J. Swearinger, when asked in March which player he wanted the Redskins to take with the 13th overall pick, made it clear he preferred Alabama defensive lineman Daron Payne.

Payne joins his former Crimson Tide teammates Jonathan Allen and Ryan Anderson, who was understandably thrilled with the selection and the inevitable reunion, once again, with an Alabama player.
