  • Fuller is the 13th selection in the tenure of General Manager Scot McCloughan and the 21st selection of the Jay Gruden era.

With the 84th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected cornerback Kendall Fuller out of Virginia Tech. Take a look at his collegiate career in photos.

Fuller is the 452nd selection made by the Redskins in the Common Draft era (since 1967) and the 33rd third-round selection in that time frame. He is the 63rd third-round selection by the Redskins all-time since the institution of the draft in 1936. * The Redskins have now selected a Virginia Tech defensive back in consecutive drafts, as the team selected defensive back Kyshoen Jarrett in the sixth round a year ago. It marks the first time the Redskins have selected a Virginia Tech product in consecutive drafts. * Fuller is the sixth player from Virginia Tech selected by the Redskins all-time, joining C Buzz Nutter (1953), E Tom Petty (1955), TE Ken Barefoot (1968), T Derek Smith (1999) and DB Kyshoen Jarrett (2015). * Fuller's selection at No. 84 marks the highest the Redskins have selected a Virginia Tech product all-time, surpassing TE Ken Barefoot's selection at No. 113 in the 1968 NFL Draft. * Fuller is the fourth player selected by the Redskins with the No. 84 overall pick all-time, joining B Curt Kuykendall (1945), T Jerry Houghton (1950) and DE Charles Mann (1983). * With Fuller's selection, the Redskins have now selected a defensive back in each of the last six drafts, the team's longest stretch since 1997-02. * Fuller is the first defensive player selected by the Redskins out of the Atlantic Coast Conference since the team selected CB Bashaud Breeland out of Clemson in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
