Josh Norman Learns To Act In New Comedy TV Show

When cornerback Josh Norman's E:60 special was released in early October, we found out, among many other things, that he would enter his dramatic arts classes at Coastal Carolina in, you guessed it, dramatic fashion.

His teacher gave him "a big fat A," too.

Well, if Norman wasn't already completely comfortable on camera (he's a special correspondent for the FOX NFL pregame show on Sundays), he received another lesson in acting thanks to a brief snippet of Mandalay Sports Media's new digital series Here's The Rub, starring comedian Andrew Santino.

The show will debut on Verizon's go90 service on November 16, the companies said today, and it stars offbeat sports comedian Santino as a track-suit-clad Russian talk show host Nikolai Popov, who interviews pro athletes about pop culture, lifestyle, music, sports.

His first guest: Josh Norman. As seen in a promo trailer, the two discuss moving to Washington, D.C., covering Odell Beckham Jr. and act out a scene in a pretend Western. Understandably, they do all of this on Norman's horse farm.

Mandalay Sports' John Hirsch and Ron Yassen created the series and are executive producing with Santino.

"What's fun on Here's The Rub is how we were able to create and then thrust an original character into the world of athletes and get a uniquely genuine and fun response from the biggest names in the game," Santino said in a press release. "We really believe in what go90 is doing in sports and comedy, which makes us that much more excited for this series."

New episodes will be released each Wednesday. Guests this season include the NFL's Calais Campbell; basketball players Nick Young, Mike Conley Jr, Kenneth Faried and Brian Scalabrine; surfer/model Anastasia Ashley; skateboarder Paul Rodriguez; and the WNBA's Skylar Diggins.
