Washington has lacked a true deep threat since the departure of DeSean Jackson, and with the addition of speedster Paul Richardson Jr. prior to the 2018 season, Brown could provide a duo of burners for head coach Jay Gruden to use at his disposal.

"The Redskins need to sort out the QB situation following Alex Smith's injury," Jeremiah said. "If they address that need in free agency, Brown will be a tempting option with this pick."

As a two year starter at Oklahoma after transferring in from junior college before the 2017 season, Brown totaled 132 receptions for 2,413 yards, and 17 touchdowns. He averaged 18.3 yards per reception which ranked 10th in college football among junior wideouts. At 5-10, 168 pounds, his flashy skillset, blazing speed, and nack for making the highlight-reel has earned him the nickname 'Hollywood' among fellow teammates and coaches.

In Brown's breakout junior season in 2018, he was named an AP, ESPN and Sports Illustrated First-Team All-American while also being named a first-team All-Big 12 honoree by league’s coaches and media. He was also named as a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist, awarded to to the top receiver in college football.

He played in all 14 games, and ranked 14th in college football with 94.1 receiving yards per game. His 1,318 receiving yards rank as fourth most in school single-season history. Brown tied for the national lead in receptions of 40-plus yards (11), 50-plus yards (seven) and 60-plus yards (four), while logging six games with at least 100 receiving yards. He paired with CeeDee Lamb to give Oklahoma its first duo to each record at least 1,000 receiving yards in a season

As a sophomore in 2017, after transferring in from junior college, Brown was named to the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention by team by league coaches. He played in 13 games while making eight starts. He recorded a team-high 1,095 receiving yards which ranked eighth in single-season school history while averaging 19.2 yards per catch to rank 18th nationally. He also hauled in seven touchdown passes from 2017 Heisman Trophy winner, and Sooner quarterback Baker Mayfield.

According to his Draft Network profile, Brown has "legitimate burners," Draft analyst Brad Kelly said. "He will be a favorite to post the fastest 40-yard dash time at the NFL Scouting Combine. Straight-line speed is special, but he may be even better with his lateral movements. Accelerates in a flash with fantastic burst, change of direction doesn’t phase him in the slightest. Possibly the most developed lateral chain I have ever scouted, as he can run vertically while bending or torquing his body with ease."
