2019 Free Agent Profile: Frank Gore

For the last 14 seasons, Frank Gore has been in the NFL. For the last 13 seasons, Frank Gore has been a starting running back in the NFL. Gore spent his first nine seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, then spent three years with the Indianapolis Colts before playing last season with the Miami Dolphins.

With the 49ers, Gore made five Pro-Bowl appearances and had eight 1,000 yard rushing seasons. Gore's 11,073 yards with the 49ers is a San Francisco record, and his 64 touchdowns are second-most all-time in 49ers history. Gore's best season with the 49ers was his first year as a starter, as he ran for 1,695 yards and eight touchdowns on 5.4 yards per carry.

In his three years in Indianapolis, Gore had 2,953 yards and 13 touchdowns on 3.8 yards per rush. He also was able to go out of the backfield and catch some passes, getting 101 receptions for 789 yards and six touchdowns. This past year with the Dolphins, Gore ran the ball 156 times for 722 yards and caught twelve passes for 124 yards.
