Attended Russellville (Ark.) H.S., where he earned all-state honors in 2009 and was also named the Defensive Player of the Year by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette... As a senior, helped Russellville to an 8-3-1 record and kicked a school-record 15 field goals. Recorded touchbacks on 58-of-61 kickoffs, and also averaged 45 yards per punt on 35 attempts...
