  • Voted honorable mention All-ACC and was selected as the Hurricanes Linebacker of the Year.

  • Took part in the Carter Fitness Boot Camp, hosted by Andre and Bethany Carter, which launched a long-term program with a group of local students geared at teaching them how to eat healthy and be physically active.
  • Spent time with wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
  • Participated in several Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation Events in 2008, including the Redskins Read: Sean Taylor Memorial Foundation, where the Charitable Foundation and Ernst & Young made a $15,000 donation to the family library at the Children’s National Medical Center in memory and celebration of the life of Sean Taylor.
  • Has degrees in criminology and English.
  • Attended the Wizards Care 2nd Annual Ballers Bowl benefiting the Capital Area Foodbank in 2009.
