• Posted first career game with a forced fumble and fumble recovery against Baltimore on Sept. 10.

2006 (Bengals):

• Started all 16 games and played the most snaps of any Bengals player.
• Tied a career high with three interceptions.
• Tied a career-high with 11 tackles at Tampa Bay on Oct. 15.
• Posted Bengals first interception of the season in opener at Kansas City on Sept. 10.

College:

• Played and started in 26 games at the free safety position for two years at Maryland.
• Was a transfer from Towson University.
• During his collegiate career at Maryland, totaled 163 tackles (120 solo), seven interceptions, 12 pass break-ups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
• Second team All-ACC in both his junior and senior years at Maryland.
• Finished his career in 2003 on the Bronko Nagurski and Jim Thorpe awards “watch list”.
• As a senior, led the team with 81 tackles (59 solo) and was named ACC Defensive Back of the Week for his performance against Wake Forest, where he recorded a career high 11 tackles (seven solo) and one interception.
• Redshirted his junior year after he transferred from Towson.
• Played fourteen games as a redshirt junior and finished fourth on the team with 82 tackles (61 solo).
• At Towson, played in 20 games and started 11 as cornerback.

• He recorded 95 tackles, two tackles for a loss, 17 pass break-ups, two forced fumbles, and one interception in his two years at Towson.

Personal:

• Earned 2010 Walter Payton Man of the Year award for his service to community, both in the U.S. and overseas.
• Among his efforts included serving as the Vikings 2009 spokesman for United Way, working with Twin Cities youth through his Dieu’s Crew program and being recognized by the University of Maryland as a Distinguished Alumni by the School of Public Health in spring of 2009.
• His Madieu Williams Foundation works with kids to encourage a healthy lifestyle and education.
• After signing a free agent contract with Vikings, Madieu honored his commitment to build a playground in Cincinnati during spring of 2008, partnering with the non-profit Kaboom! On the project.
