2008 (Redskins)

  • Started all 16 regular season games.
  • Named a 2008 Pro Bowl first alternate.
  • Was second among defensive backs with 70 tackles and second on the team with 11 passes defensed.
  • Also tied for second on the Redskins with two interceptions (CB DeAngelo Hall and CB Carlos Rogers).
  • Had four tackles and his first career regular season interception at Seattle (11/23) returned the interception 13 yards to set up a touchdown (Campbell to Randle El) four plays later in the third quarter.
  • Had three tackles, one interception and one forced fumble at Baltimore (12/7); his two turnovers were converted into 10 second-half points for the Redskins.
  • Recorded five tackles and two passes defensed vs. Philadelphia (12/21) and along with CB Fred Smoot stopped WR Reggie Brown short of the goal line on the last play of the game to preserve a 10-3 win over the Eagles.
  • Along with Chris Horton, was one of two Redskins to record a statistic in every major defensive category: tackles, interceptions, sacks, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries.

 

2007 (Redskins)

  • Started all 16 regular season games and one postseason contest.
  • Recorded 97 tackles (62 solo), 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery.
  • Named to the NFL All-Rookie Defensive Team.
  • Named a third alternate to the Pro Bowl.
  • Made his NFL debut against Miami (9/9) and recorded four tackles and two special teams stops.
  • At Philadelphia (9/17), recorded six tackles and a half-sack of QB Donovan McNabb; also broke up a pass attempt from McNabb to Kevin Curtis on fourth down to seal a Redskins' victory.
  • Against Buffalo (12/2), led the Redskins' defense with eight tackles and also had one special teams stop.
  • In the Redskins' Wild Card playoff game at Seattle (1/5), had four tackles and two interceptions of quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, the first two interceptions of his NFL career.

 

College

  • Started all 13 games for the Tigers in 2006, earning All-America first-team selection by the Associated Press and the American Football Coaches Association, and was first-team All-Southeastern Conference pick. He was also a semi-finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award.
  • As a senior, led LSU with 74 tackles (46 solo), one forced fumble, three interceptions and one sack.
  • Recorded a season-high 12 tackles (nine solo) and blocked a punt against SEC rival and eventual National Champion Florida during his senior season.
  • Recorded the final interception of his college career off of Brady Quinn in LSU’s 41-14 victory over Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.
  • As a junior, started and played in 13 games at free safety earning All-SEC first-team selection by the league’s coaches.
  • Finished fourth on the Tigers with 69 tackles (42 solo), three interceptions and one sack.
  • Played and started 12 games during his sophomore campaign earning All-SEC second team honors. Tallied a career-high 92 tackles (53 solo), three sacks, five tackles for losses, one forced fumble and a career-best four interceptions.
  • Played in 14 games with 10 starts during his freshman campaign. Recorded 80 tackles (54 solo), two interceptions, three sacks and four passes defensed.
  • Was a communications studies major at LSU.

 

Personal

  • Attended Hahnville High School in Louisiana where he earned first-team 5A All-State honors as a senior.
  • Led Hahnville as a quarterback throwing for 1,639 yards and 16 touchdowns, rushed for 693 yards and 12 scores and intercepted eight passes on defense.
  • During the 2009 season bought a white-faced capuchin monkey, named Gucci.
  • Has one daughter and is the brother of Baltimore Ravens safety Dawan Landry.
