Led the Hoosiers with 35 receptions, 536 yards, three touchdowns and 15.3 yards per catch as a sophomore in 2011 in 12 games with 10 starts. Also rushed 27 times for 162 yards... Was one of two true freshmen to play for IU in 2010, appearing in the final 10 games of the season and making one start vs. Michigan.

Attended Cathedral H.S. in Indianapolis, where he was named the 2009 Gatorade Indiana Football Player of the Year... Earned Indiana Football Coaches Association Top 50 All-State honors, earned a spot on the Indianapolis Star Super Team and was recognized as the all-city player of the year... Named Cathedral’s MVP, throwing for 1,584 yards with 19 touchdowns and four interceptions and rushing 201 times for 1,552 yards with 22 scores and also catching three passes for 72 yards and one touchdown as a senior... Rushed for 1,289 yards with 17 touchdowns and passed for 930 yards with eight TDs as a junior... Attended Manning Passing Academy and was ranked the 10th-best prospect in Indiana by Scout.com... Played football and basketball... Son of Dock and Juliana Hughes... Born March 27, 1992.
