• Three-year letter winner and two-year starter at cornerback and wide receiver under Coach Mike Marcus at Old Mill (Md.) High School, where he recorded 129 tackles and nine interceptions in his last two years.
• Posted 62 tackles (32 solo), three interceptions, and a fumble recovery, along with 17 receptions for 435 yards and three touchdowns during his senior season.
• Senior honors included Big School all-state by the Associated Press, All-Met by the Baltimore Sun, and honorable mention All-Met by the Washington Post.
• Also competed in basketball and track; won state 4A high jump with a leap of 6-feet, 6-inches in his first year competing.
• Was a member of the 2008 Terrapin Council, the team’s leadership committee
• Participated in many events with the Redskins Charitable Foundation during the 2009 season including reading to local children as part of Redskins Read program and teaching kids the importance of being active with 1^st Down for Fitness. Also spoke to young athletes about success on and off the field with 4^th and Life, and handed out toys to children in Skins Santa Shoppe, as well as attending the Sporting Clays Challenge and Make-a-Wish at Morton’s.
• Joined President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House Easter Egg Roll to help kids learn the value of good health during the 2010 offseason.
• Earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology in December 2008.
