  • His 31 field goals made were a single-season career high and tied Chip Lohmiller for second-most in a single season in team history, bhind only Mark Moseley's 33 field goals in 1983.
  • The 31 field gaols were also tied for fifth-most in the NFL.
  • Finished the season with a career-high 118 points, the most since K Scott Blanton and RB Terry Allen each had 118 in 1996.
  • Was 4-for-6 on field goal attempts of 50 yards or more. the four 50+ yard field gaols made tied the team's single-season record (Mark Moseley - 1977).

  • Connected on his lone extra point attempt and both field goal attempts in a Week 1 win vs. Dallas on Sept. 12, including a 49-yarder which put the Redskins up by two scores with less than two minutes remaining.
  • Connecred on his first NFL game-winning field goal with a 33-yarder in overtime vs. Green Bay on Oct. 10. Also made a 45-yard field goal to tie the game with 1:07 remaining in the 4th quarter.
  • Made four field goal attempts, including the game-winning 48-yarder in overtime at Tennessee on Nov. 21. Set a single-game career high with four field goals.
  • Won NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after making a 48-yard field goal in regualtion and 31-yard field goal in overtimne, in his third season, which tied an NFL record also held by John Casey (Carolina, 2003) and Jason Hanson (Detroit, 1994).
  • Recorded three special teams tackles oin the season.
  • On kickoffs, recorded 16 touchbacks on the season.

 

2009 (Redskins):

  • Appeared in his first four NFL games.
  • Connected on all four of his field goal attempts (long of 46), and was 6-of-7 on PAT's with one block.
  • Made his NFL debut at Oakland on Dec. 13 and connected on both of his field goal attempts (46,41) and four PAT's.
  • Was 2-of-2 on field attempts (22,25) and made two PAT's at San Diego on Jan. 4.
  • On kickoffs, recorded three touchbacks on the season.
  • Also played for the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives.
  • Converted on 13-of-16 field goal attempts and all 20 PAT's, including a league-best 53 yard field goal.
  • Played all four games with a broken bone in his kicking foot.

 

College:

  •  Earned the Lou Groza Award as the top college place kicker in the nation in 2008, connecting on 24-of-26 field goal attempts (92.3%), including 18 in a row and both misses coming from 50+ yards.
  • Finished first in the nation for field goals made (24), percentage of field goals converted (92.3%), and 50+ yard field goals (five), despite missing the first two games of the season after tearing the meniscus in his right knee two weeks prior to the start of the 2008 season.
  • As a senior, was named to the Rivals.com, Scout.com, and CBS Sports first-team All-America teams.
  • Was the first player in Florida State history to handle all the kicking duties (punting, placements, and kickoffs).
  • Was the first punter ever to be named the MVP of a bowl game when he was named the Most Valuable Player in the Champs Sports Bowl in 2008.
  • Was named to first- team All-ACC in 2008.
  • As a senior, led the ACC with 105 points and holds the Florida State single-season record for 50-yard FG’s (five).
