  • In conjunction with the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, participated in the “Redskins Read Kickoff” reading pep rallies to get kids excited about reading and promote literacy contests; played video games with U.S. troops stationed overseas in Pro vs. GI Joe; and encouraged kids to remain physically active in the What Moves U Challenge in 2009.
  • During the 2008 season, visited the local elementary school that won the 2008 Redskins Reading Challenge and read to students. Read a classic children’s story which was compiled with other player’s readings for Redskins Read on CD, a CD aimed at promoting literacy.
  • Joined teammates at Jason Taylor Foundation’s “Cool Gear for the School Year” event to help deserving area children pick out clothes for school from Old Navy in 2008.
  • Attended Rogers High School in Toledo, Ohio.
  • Recorded over 500 yards receiving, 600 total yards and 100 tackles while scoring 12 touchdowns as a wide receiver, running back, quarterback and strong safety during his senior year.
