College

  • Spent last two seasons at Kansas State after transferring from Bakersfield (Calif.).
  • Had 123 receptions for 1,754 yards (14.3 avg.) and 10 touchdowns in 24 games with the Wildcats.
  • Earned Big 12 Special Team Player of the Year, first-team All-Big 12 kickoff returner/punt returner and second-team All-Big 12 wide receiver as a senior.
  • Led the Wildcats with 56 receptions for 705 yards.
  • Tied for the nation’s lead in kickoff returns for touchdowns (4).
  • Ranked fifth in the nation in kickoff return yards (1,127) and 12th with 28.9-yard average on 39 kickoff returns.
  • Had a 9.1 yards-per-punt-return average (17 punt returns for 155 yards), which ranked 35th in the nation.
  • Totaled 67 receptions for 1,049 yards (15.7 avg.) and nine touchdowns as a junior.
  • Marked the most receptions and receiving yards for a junior in a single season in school history.
  • Was named the Wildcats’ Offensive Newcomer of the Year in 2008.
  • Became the sixth player in school history to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.
  • Had 498 yards on 18 kickoff returns (27.7 avg.) and five punt returns for 58 yards.
  • Returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown against Nebraska, which tied for the fifth-longest in school history. 
  • Finished with 1,731 total all-purpose yards in 2008, which ranked fifth in a single-season in school annals.
  • His 144.2 all-purpose yards per game ranked eighth in a single-season in Wildcats’ history.
  • Helped lead Bakersfield to a No.1 national ranking, a 12-1 record on the season and a berth in Southern California championship game.
  • Earned first-team All-America honors from JC Gridwire as an all-purpose player/wide receiver and was named a PrepStar JUCO All-American.
  • Established a school record with 15 touchdowns.

 

Personal

  • Attended Garner High School in Garner, N.C.
  • Was a four-year starter and two-time all-conference selection.
  • Led the Trojans to three consecutive conference championships and a 33-5 record over his final three seasons.
  • Named to the 2006 USA Today All-USA high school track and field team after posting a 10.22 in the 100-meter dash and a 21.22 in the 200-meter dash.
