Saw his first action as a Redskin, at left tackle, in Week 14 against New England.
Started his first career game against the New York Giants in Week 15 and blocked for a rushing attack that tied a season-high in carries (40).
Started at left tackle in Week 16 and 17 and blocked for running back Evan Royster who had consecutive 100-plus yard rushing games.

College:

Played in 52 games, with 27 starts at East Carolina.
As a senior, he was named first-team All-Conference USA.
Was a member of the Conference USA champion East Carolina teams in 2008-09.
Also a key member of an offensive line that ranked sixth nationally in fewest sacks allowed (12 in 14 games).

Personal:

In 2011, he helped distribute 3,500 whole turkeys and Thanksgiving food baskets at FedExField to Prince George’s County residents in need at the team’s annual Harvest Feast.
As a team captain, he helped lead North Johnston High School to a 14-1 record, a conference championship, and regional runner-up status in his senior season in 2005.
On defense he recorded 107 tackles (92 solo), 30 tackles for a loss, 14 sacks, 17 quarterback pressures, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, six batted passes and one interception during his senior season.
Earned three letters in football, and four in basketball.
Earned selection to the ECU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
Earned a bachelor’s degree in Business (management) in May 2010.
