  • He iss an avid soccer fan, particularly of Tottenham Hotspurs of the English Premier League.
  • In 2011, worked with the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation to speak to students about the importance of good health and lead kids in fitness activities as part of NFL’s PLAY 60 campaign, helping kids get 60 minutes of exercise a day.
  • Earned Academic All-Big 12 Conference and Big 12 Commissioner’s Spring and Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2010.
  • Was a regular participant in Nebraska’s community outreach activities working with numerous FCA activities, as well as volunteering at Elliot Elementary School as part of the Huskers’ team hospital visits.
  • Attended San Ramon Valley High School, where he earned All-East Bay League honors in each of his final two seasons.
  • Totaled 181 rushes for 1,085 yards (5.99 avg.), 11 touchdowns and 20 catches for 280 yards (14.0 avg.) and one touchdown, while guiding his team to a 10-2 record.
