  • Concluded UAB career with 38 career starts and became the school's all-time leading tackler as a senior.
  • Finished his Blazers' career with 406 tackles to rank first on UAB charts.

  • Was the NCAA leader in tackles per game as a senior with an average of 13.08 stops per game.
  • Had 90 solo hits during the season.
  • Finished with 157 tackles to set a UAB single-season record.
  • Also established a new Blazer mark for career tackles with 406.
  • Broke school record of 372 set by Zac Woodfin from 2001-04.

  • Notched double-digit tackles in four games (Tulane, East Carolina, Houston and Florida Atlantic).
  • Season-high 11 stops against East Carolina and FAU.
  • Recorded pair of tackles for loss and six total tackles in season opener at Florida.

 

2010 (UAB):

  • Started all 12 games for Blazers and emerged as one of top linebackers in Conference USA.
  • Named honorable mention All-Conference USA.
  • Recorded 114 tackles during season to lead team and rank No. 5 in league.
  • Had 77 solo tackles.
  • Registered double-digit tackles in four games (UCF, Southern Miss, Marshall and Rice) with season-high 20 stops against the Thundering Herd, tying for second-highest single-game total in UAB history.
  • Had 17 tackles in season finale at Rice.
  • Averaged 13 tackles in the final five games of the season as he registered 65 stops.
  • His 114 tackles were the most by a UAB linebacker since 2003 season (Zac Woodfin and Nigel Eldridge).
  • Recorded eight tackles for loss with a pair against Troy and Southern Miss.
  • Had three sacks during season.
  • Caused one fumble (Southern Miss) and also recovered one (Southern Miss).
  • Had one interception (vs. Memphis).

 

2009 (UAB):

  • Became a contributor to Blazer linebacking corps as a true freshman early in the season.
  • Played in all 12 games and started two contests (Memphis and East Carolina).
  • Tied for No. 6 on the team in total tackles with 43, including 22 solo hits.
  • Recorded tackles in all but one game during the season.
  • Registered a season-high seven tackles in road game at Texas A&M.
  • Also recorded six stops vs. Southern Miss and Memphis .
  • Had five tackles vs. Marshall and in season finale against UCF.
  • Had one forced fumble in win over Southern Miss.

 

HIGH SCHOOL:

  • Played at Mississippi's South Panola High School, one of the nation's premier high school programs, for head coach Lance Pogue.
  • Noted for his strong run-stopping ability.
  • Was a three-year starter at linebacker for a South Panola program that had an 89-game winning streak snapped in the 2008 state championship game.
  • Helped the Tigers to undefeated seasons and state titles in 2006 and 2007 along with a USA Today national ranking of No. 9 in 2007.
  • Named first-team all-state by the Clarion-Ledger in 2008 after tallying more than 100 tackles as a senior.
  • Also selected to the 2008 MaxPreps All-State Team for Mississippi.
  • Chosen to play in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game.
  • Made 91 tackles with seven sacks as a junior in 2007 on his way to second-team Class 5A All-State honors from MAC/MagnoliaPreps.com.
  • Also ran the 200 meters on high school track team.
