  • Played in 16 regular season games, making 12 starts.
  • Had a career-high in tackles with 76 (69 solo) and interceptions with four, with one being returned for a touchdown. Also had one sack.
  • Set Seahawks single-season records for most kickoff returns (69) and kickoff return yards (1,753).
  • He recorded his first career sacks against the New York Jets on Dec. 21 and also had two interceptions and three passes defensed in the game.
  • Recorded his first career interception which he returned for a touchdown at San Francisco on Oct. 26.
  • Posted his first career double-digit tackles game with 11 (eight solo) against the New York Giants on Oct. 5.

  • Recorded his first career tackle against Tampa Bay on Sept. 9.

College:

  • Played in 46 of a possible 48 games at Maryland.
  • One of the fastest players to ever play at Maryland.
  • Won the Iron Terp honors in 2005 for being an avid “workout warrior”.
  • Was the recipient of the James Tatum Award, given to the top football student-athlete in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
  • Was a two-time Academic All-ACC choice.
  • Despite not being a kick returner until his final season, he ranks eighth on the school’s career record list with 847 return yards.
  • Also blocked three kicks over his two years as a starter.

 

Personal:

  • During 2011 he partook in Macy’s and the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation annual “Covered for the Holidays” event that donates 300 coats, gloves and hats to underserved kids from the Washington D.C. Metro Area.
  • Helped distribute 3,500 whole turkeys and Thanksgiving food baskets at FedExField to Prince George’s County residents in need.
  • Graduated in December 2006 with a degree in marketing.
  • Son of Valanda and the late Timothy Wilson.
  • His father helped Maryland capture the ACC title in each of his three years at the school. He also went on to a career in the NFL, where he was the blocking back for NFL Hall of Fame running back Earl Campbell with the Houston Oilers.
  • Josh still carries his father’s NFL trading card for good luck. His mother is currently enrolled at the School of Business at Maryland.
