Redskins Sign Offensive Lineman Kendall Pace, Linebacker Ron Thompson Jr.

The Redskins added a player to each side of the football on Sunday with the addition of offensive lineman Kendall Pace along with linebacker Ron Thompson Jr.

The Washington Redskins on Sunday announced the signings of offensive lineman Kendall Pace and linebacker Ron Thompson Jr.

In corresponding moves, the Redskins waived safety Tim Scott and wide receiver Kendal Thompson, designated as injured.

Pace joins the Redskins after spending his college career at Columbia, where he appeared in 40 games with 39 starts.

During his senior season, Pace was a second-team All-Ivy League selection at left tackle. As a freshman, the Suitland, Md., native started nine games while just 17 years old.

He was the youngest player in NCAA that year according to Columbia bio.

Thompson, meanwhile, played for Syracuse for three years, registering 87 tackles (21 for loss) along with 12 sacks, 10 passes defensed, six fumbles forced and a fumble recovery.

He was a third-team All-ACC selection during his junior season as he paced Syracuse in sacks with seven.
