Entering his 12th NFL season, the Redskins have added some veteran defensive line help with the signing of Cullen Jenkins.

Entering his 12th NFL season, the Redskins have added some veteran defensive line help with the signing of Cullen Jenkins.

The Washington Redskins are adding some veteran assistance to the defensive line.

The Redskins on Monday announced that they have signed Cullen Jenkins, who has split his NFL career between the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

For his career, Jenkins has totaled 332 tackles with 47.5 sacks and eight fumbles forced.

Jenkins originally entered the NFL as a college free agent in 2003 with Bay Packers.

He would spend seven seasons on the Packers’ active roster, starting 66 games with 130 tackles, 29 sacks, 16 passes defensed and five fumbles forced.

Jenkins would then sign with the Eagles in 2011, spending two seasons with the organization.

He would start all 32 games during that span, recording 9.5 sacks.

In 2013, the Central Michigan product would sign with the Giants where he’d spend the next three years.

Last season, Jenkins started 13 games with three sacks.
