The Redskins concluded the 2017 NFL Draft, by selecting Louisville safety Josh Harvey-Clemons and Auburn defensive back Joshua Holsey. With their selections, the team's 2017 draft class is 10 players.

In the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected Louisville safety Josh Harvey-Clemons with the No. 230-overal pick and Auburn cornerback Joshua Holsey with the No. 235-overall pick.

Harvey-Clemons was a second-team All-ACC pick last season for the Cardinals, as he racked up 61 tackles (four for loss) and two sacks.

According to his NFL.com draft profile, Harvey-Clemons has “rangy, long frame with exceptionally long limbs,” which allows him to play the game with “edge” as a “square-up, wrap-up finisher.”

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein continued to heap praise on Harvey-Clemons, saying he has “elite size, length and athletic traits, with the ability to cover and blitz.”

Harvey-Clemons joins a Redskins team that has plenty of talent at the safety position, including Will Blackmon, Su'a Cravens, Josh Evans, Deshazor Everett, DeAngelo Hall, D.J. Swearinger, Earl Wolff IV, and Montae Nicholson, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Holsey had three interceptions for the Tigers last season, and will have a great chance to grow with the Redskins, as he’ll be a part of a group of cornerbacks that include Bashaud Breeland, Quinton Dunbar, Kendall Fuller, Josh Norman, Dashaun Phillips, Tharold Simon and Fabian Moreau, who was selected by Washington in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of UCLA.
