According to reports Redskins cornerback E.J. Biggers reportedly received a $21,000 fine from the NFL for a helmet-to-helmet hit during last weeks game vs. Philadelphia.

The NFL has suspended Roy Ellison an NFL official that Redskins left tackle Trent Williams accused of verbal abuse for one game.

The NFL Referees Association speaks out against the one game suspension handed down by the NFL. The NFLRA’s statement said, “The NFLRA denounced the NFL’s one game suspension of umpire Roy Ellison as a rush to judgment without hearing Ellison’s side of the story.”

One reporter feels that Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan may be coaching for his job vs. the 49ers on Monday night. Shanahan’s contract is through the 2014 season but a win on Monday would quiet critics and show Shanahan can still win under pressure.

A writer for the Washington Post feels that quarterback Robert Griffin III has grown off the field after the loss vs. the Eagles. Griffin took responsibility for the loss and said, “Bottom line…it’s my fault.”
