A morning roundup of what the local and national media have to say about the Washington Redskins on Tuesday, March 11, 2013.

All reports, rumors and conjecture are a reflection of the media conversation and are not endorsed or confirmed by the Washington Redskins.

--The Washington Redskins have reached an agreement to bring back linebacker Perry Riley Jr. who will look to have a stronger role with the defense after the retiring of London Fletcher.

--One writer asks; should the Redskins go after Darrelle Revis? The Buccaneers are looking to trade Revis before the 4 p.m. deadline today.

--According to reports, the Washington Redskins and wide receiver Andre Roberts have ‘agreed to a deal,’ but nothing can be made official until 4 p.m.

--Reports say that the Redskins will head into free agency with approximately $19.6 million in cap space.

--According to reports, the Redskins seem to be the ‘leading contender’ for running back Darren Sproles, who was released by the New Orleans Saints.

--A few  offensive players that all fans should know and should keep an eye on during this free agency period.

--Examining five positions that the Redskins need to address when free agency opens today at 4PM.

--Five things that everyone should know about free agency, including ‘interest’ does not mean ‘contract.’

--As the Redskins look to upgrade their secondary when free agency opens, a few names that come up for Washington include Byrd, Graham, and Munnerlyn.

--Giants’ free agent wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is looking for a long term deal where he can be “the missing link” for a team ready to jump to the next level. Does this rule out the Redskins as a possible contender for Nicks’ services?

--A list of defensive players that all Redskins fans should know. The team is looking to greatly improve its defense after retaining Jim Haslett as the defensive coordinator.

--With many holes to fill, a writer talks about how the Redskins need to spread out the money they have out and not dump all of it into one player and they have done with large deals in the past.

--Hall of Fame head coach Joe Gibbs spoke out and said he would be in favor of eliminating extra points and field goals from the game of football.

--With some depth needed at the receiver position, Washington seems to have an eye on receivers Kenny Britt and Andrew Hawkins as free agency quickly approaches.
