A morning roundup of what the local and national media have to say about the Washington Redskins on Thursday, February 6, 2013.

All reports, rumors and conjecture are a reflection of the media conversation and are not endorsed or confirmed by the Washington Redskins.

.

--According to reports, the Redskins have reached an agreement to bring back wide receiver Aldrick Robinson. Robinson has 29 career receptions for 602 yards along with five touchdowns.

--A few quotes from receiver Santana Moss on quarterback Kirk Cousins, quarterback Robert Griffin III, and former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.

--Two reporters look at whether or not the Redskins need to sign a free agent cornerback this offseason, and if so, should it be a big name player?

--A blogger discusses whether the Redskins should give linebacker Brian Orakpo the franchise tag or sign him to a long term deal. Orakpo is currently considered a top free agent in the league.

--The NFL has announced that it has reached an agreement with CBS to simulcast eight Thursday night football games this coming season and each team will play at least one ‘short week’ Thursday night game.

--Quarterback Robert Griffin III is looking ahead to next season as he has already organized offseason passing camps with his wide receivers.

--One reporter breaks down the linebacker situation for the Redskins including who needs to be re-signed, how each player did this season, and if each player will possibly be on the roster in 2014.

--With free agency on the horizon, the Redskins are looking to re-sign a few of their defensive players such as defensive lineman Chris Baker. Baker speaks a little about how free agency really works.

--Receiver Santana Moss speaks out about Kyle Shanahan and what the Cleveland Browns are getting with their new offensive coordinator. “The offensive players should all get real amped about what he’s going bring to their offense” Moss said.

--A look at how long it has been since one of Washington’s four major sports teams won a championship, along with many other major cities in the U.S.

--Though rumors have circulated about Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins being traded to the Cleveland Browns, it appears as of right now Cleveland has no intent on trading for Cousins who is going into his third season.

--One writer’s take on whether the Redskins should bring back linebacker Perry Riley Jr. to their defense. The Redskins currently have one of their four starting linebackers from last year signed to a contract with the team.

--Looking at how deep the Redskins are at receiver and tight end along with free agents and draft prospects that could add more depth to the offense.

--What the Houston Texans owner Bob McNair, a racehorse, and a member of the Redskins' front office have in common.
