--Sources say Washington Redskins general manager Bruce Allen interviewed Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott on Saturday for the Redskins head coaching position. McDermott is the third reported interview since Mike Shanahan was fired on Monday.

--According to reports confirmed by the team, Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell met with Redskins general manager Bruce Allen to interview for the head coaching position. Caldwell went 26-22 as the Indianapolis Colts head coach and made a Super Bowl XLIV appearance in 2009.

--One reporter takes a look at Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder’s progression as the owner of the team and how the team has faired during his time in Washington. The Redskins have made the playoffs four times in Snyder’s 15 seasons as owner.

--On Friday, the Redskins interviewed Dallas Cowboys special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia. Redskins general manager spent six seasons together with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

--A comparison of Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and fellow second-year quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson as they both made the playoffs this year and Griffin III did not.

--Dallas Cowboys special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia may not be a household name but former players have spoken highly of his personality and coaching style. San Diego Chargers special teams player Bront Bird said, “I would say to sum him up, he’s a guy that you would go to war for.”

--According to media reports, the Washington Redskins have requested to interview Vanderbilt’s head coach James Franklin. Franklin has been coaching Vanderbilt for the past three seasons and has had three straight seasons with bowl game appearances.

--NFL prospects from the 2014 Orange Bowl between the Clemson Tigers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. If the Redskins trade back into the first round this year, Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins would be a huge pickup for a team that lacks depth at the position.

--A look at free agency prospects from the Colts-Chiefs game this weekend that could be signed to the Redskins roster next season. Linebacker depth could be an issue and Chiefs linebacker Frank Zombo could be a target as he will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

--How the Redskins can improve going into the 2014 season and five ways the new head coach could improve certain lacking statistics like the average punt return average. The Redskins was 16.8, the rest of the league was 9.4.

--Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt is one of the latest coordinators the Redskins are reportedly interested in according to league sources. In his first season with the Chargers Whisenhunt has helped the Chargers to a playoff birth and a wild card playoff win over the Bengals on Sunday.
