All reports, rumors and conjecture are a reflection of the media conversation and are not endorsed or confirmed by the Washington Redskins.

--One blogger takes a look at what free agent safeties the Redskins could go after this offseason that will fill the team’s needs while staying within the budget. The defense ranked 20th last season with 243.5 passing yards given up per game.

--According to reports, Morocco Brown, director of pro personnel for the Redskins, will remain with the team after news broke that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will hire Jason Licht of the Arizona Cardinals for the GM position. Brown reportedly interviewed with the Bucs in early January.

--How Redskins offensive coordinator Sean McVay beat out a current NFL star receiver for a player of the year award. McVay was promoted from tight end coach after the hiring of new head coach Jay Gruden.

--Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett looks ahead to this upcoming season and emphasizes that signing linebackers Brian Orakpo and Perry Riley Jr. is a priority for the team.

--After Roger Goodell discusses the possibility of eliminating the extra point, Redskins’ long snapper Nick Sundberg speaks out about why it should remain a part of the game saying “Once the extra points are gone, the field goals are gone too.”

--One article talks about why Warren Buffet thought about buying the Washington Redskins when he was younger and what player was his “hero in those days.”

--Whether or not the Redskins should place the franchise tag on linebacker Brian Orakpo or sign him to a long term deal remains a question. One article reviews the positives and negatives of using the tag on the free agent linebacker.

--Sources say there is a good possibility that former Redskins quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Doug Williams will be joining the Redskins front office in some form. The quarterback reportedly met with Redskins general manager Bruce Allen in Mobile, Ala.

--A writer talks about one inside linebacker at the Senior Bowl that the Redskins should watch to fill the void left by former Redskins linebacker London Fletcher. Fletcher decided to retire after the 2013 season.

--Why defensive coordinator Jim Haslett is deciding to stick with the 3-4 defense and what will influence the decisions of Haslett and his staff will moving forward.

--One article mentions that the Washington Redskins should trade back in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft and what positions they should address with those picks. The Redskins do not currently have a first round pick in the upcoming draft after trading it away two years ago in the deal that brought in quarterback Robert Griffin III.

--A reporter gives some information to fans to help with what their ideal Redskins offseason would look like. Washington will have much more free salary cap room this offseason after receiving cap penalties the past two seasons.
