--Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins preformed well vs. Atlanta, throwing for 381 yards and three touchdowns in his first start this year but the Redskins lost the turnover battle and the game 27-26.

--Defensive lineman Brian Orakpo continues to play well and leads the team with 10 sacks and had 1.5 sacks vs. the Falcons. Orakpo’s 10 sacks is the first time he has reached double figure sacks since 2009 with 11.

--Redskins left tackle Trent Williams had a ‘light’ knee sprain vs. Atlanta in the first possession of the second quarter, Williams returned and finished the game.

--Running back Alfred Morris spoke on his two fumbles vs. the Falcons and said, “You’ve got to find a way to get better from it, not allow it to happen.”

--Head coach Mike Shanahan spoke about his team’s play after a tough 27-26 loss in which Shanahan decided to go for two and the win but could not convert the two-point conversion. When asked about his future with the team Shanahan decided to walk away from the podium.

--Quarterback Robert Griffin III was in good spirits, despite being inactive vs. the Falcons. Backup quarterback Rex Grossman said, “He’s handled it with class.”

--A list of inactive Redskins players vs. the Falcons, it was the first time that linebackers Darryl Tapp and Brandon Jenkins were inactive in the same game.

--Sonny Jurgensen spoke on ESPN 980 and thinks that head coach Mike Shanahan will be back next season. Jurgensen said, “I think he will come back, I don’t think it’s something that is too late (to repair).”
