--A look at backup quarterback Kirk Cousins who will start vs. the Falcons on Sunday. This will be Cousins first opportunity to showcase his skills this season after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 draft.

--One reporter's take on current Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan and the future of the Redskins franchise and who should lead the team moving forward.

--A look at head coach Mike Shanahan and the quarterbacks that have played for him during his coaching career in Washington.

--Former Redskins player Albert Haynesworth spoke about head coach Mike Shanahan on Tennessee sports radio and said, “He doesn’t want anybody to be bigger than him.”

--Redskins defensive lineman Adam Carriker has been placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list and will not return to game time action this season.

--Toronto Mayer Rob Ford gives his take on the sitting of quarterback Robert Griffin III and why he agrees with head coach Mike Shanahan on resting Griffin for the last three games.

--Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media after practice on Thursday and said he had “zero involvement” with the decision to sit quarterback Robert Griffin III. Shanahan said, “I’ve got to go along with it.”

--Rookie tight end Jordan Reed was held out of practice again for concussion symptoms. Reed has been held out of the past three games and expected to play in the last two games. 

--Redskins players are looking forward to changing the focus from off the field issues to focus on their play vs. the Falcons on Sunday. The Redskins-Falcons matchup is a battle of two former playoff teams and two teams with the same record of 3-10.

--Why one writer feels that the Shanahan father-son combination is not a good fit in Washington.

--Five questions the Redskins will have to answer before the Redskins play the Falcons including who will win the turnover battle. The Falcons are minus -11 and the Redskins have forced a turnover in all but one game this season.

--Head coach Mike Shanahan addressed the ESPN report that stated he was on the verge of quitting at the end of last season. Shanahan acknowledged the report but did not deny the claims in the article and said, “There’s always bits and pieces of an article that are true.”

--Why offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan will have other opportunities to coach if this is the last year he is with the Redskins. Shanahan has taken the Redskins offense has improved from 18th to 16th and to 5th over the last three seasons.

--Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith discusses the Redskins offense and quarterback Kirk Cousins. Cousins came in for Robert Griffin III vs. the Falcons last year and went 5 of 9 for 111 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions
