--Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III chooses not to respond to 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks comments. Brooks spoke to the media after the Monday night game and suggested that Griffin should not be playing due to his knee injury.

--Rookie tight end Jordan Reed tells reporters that he is “perfectly fine” and plans to play in Sunday night’s game vs. the Giants. Reed had suffered a concussion vs. Philadelphia and did not play in Monday night’s game vs. the 49ers.

--Why some Redskins players do not feel like they are playing for head coach Mike Shanahan’s job as they prepare to play the Giants on Sunday night. If the Redskins lose, it would be the 3rd losing season in his four years in Washington.

--What Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo feels the team must do to block out scrutiny brought on by their losing record. Orakpo said, “We have to remain unified, be brothers and stick together.”

--How the Giants recovered from their terrible start to the season and won four out of their last five games. The Giants started the season 0-6 and committed a league-leading 24 turnovers through the first six games.

--Quarterback Robert Griffin III dismisses any “rift” rumors that suggest he has problems with his teammates on the offensive line. In their past three games the Redskins offensive line has given up 12 sacks.

--An injury report for the Redskins two days before the Redskins play the Giants at home on Sunday. Fullback Darrel Young (hamstring) and tight end Niles Paul (illness) did not practice Thursday.

--How the Redskins should approach the rest of the 2013 season as they mathematically have not been eliminated from the playoffs.
