--Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan tells the media that patience will be key as quarterback Robert Griffin III develops as an NFL quarterback. Griffin struggled against the 49ers and threw no touchdowns, an interception and had a quarterback rating of 56.3.
--The Redskins injury report including the status of tight end Jordan Reed and full back Darrel Young. Reed returned to practice in a limited biases and Young did not take part of the team portion of practice on Wednesday.
--One reporter looks at the future of Redskins franchise moving forward with head coach Mike Shanahan. After four years under Shanahan the Redskins are 24-35 and are currently 3-8 on the 2013 season.
--Redskins tight end Fred Davis denies reports that he missed meetings last week. Davis said, “I never blew off any meetings.”
--Mike Shanahan addressed the media and spoke about the effort level of the Redskins team. Shanahan said, “I think the players are smart enough to understand that if you are 3-8 everybody is playing for their jobs.”
--Quarterback Robert Griffin III’s father came to the locker room after the Redskins loss on Monday night to see if his son was injured. Griffin addressed the media and warned if anyone is taking shots at his family to “back up.”
--Cornerback DeAngelo Hall believes in head coach Mike Shanahan and the Redskins coaching staff and thinks they should return. There is speculation the Shanahan will not return as the head coach as next year will be the last year of his contract.
--Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden and Ravens defensive lineman Chris Canty believe the Redskins should give backup quarterback Kirk Cousins a start this season and a chance to showcase his skills. Cousins came in for Griffin vs. the Ravens last year and beat the eventual Super Bowl champions.
--A loss this weekend vs. the Giants could officially eliminate the Redskins from playoff contention. If the Redskins lose the best the team can finish is 7-9 and 3-3 in the division.

--49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks further explains his comments he made about Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. Brooks said, “It was nothing negative towards RGIII, I respect him.”
--Quarterback Robert Griffin III has his focus on the Giants and not his plans for an offseason which he missed last year due to injury. Griffin said,” My focus right now is (the New York Giants) and that’s all I’ve got.”
--Redskins left tackle Trent Williams disregards any notion that quarterback Robert Griffin III was purposely not being helped up by the offensive line after being sacked/tackled. Griffin was sacked six times vs. the 49ers on Monday night.
--Head coach Mike Shanahan chose not to discuss any reports on tight end Fred Davis missing team meetings. Davis played in 10 of 60 offensive snaps on Monday night which was the first time seeing limited game action since week 6.
--Why quarterback Robert Griffin III should take as many snaps as possible this season despite his and the team’s struggles this season. So far Griffin has 1,813 snaps under his belt and by adding 350 more during the last five games of the season would help his overall development immensely.
--Yesterday marked the six-year anniversary of former Redskins safety Sean Taylor’s death. Taylor played in 55 games, had 241 tackles, two sacks, eight forced fumbles and 12 interceptions.
