--Jay Gruden was hired as the teams head football coach on Thursday. Gruden makes the eighth head coach hired since Daniel Snyder purchased the team in 1999.

--In initial talks with reporters, Jay Gruden doesn’t give definite roles for the remaining Redskins coaching staff. Many NFL analysts believe that defensive coordinator Jim Haslett, secondary coach Raheem Morris and tight ends coach Sean McVay will play roles as coordinators for Gruden next season.
