--Redskins place kicker Kai Forbath expects to play this Sunday vs. the Cowboys after being sidelined for the past three weeks.

--The early bye week helps players recover from injuries such as tight ends Logan Paulsen (knee) Jordan Reed (thigh) and running back Alfred Morris (ribs). Morris and Reed expect to play against the Cowboys.

--The Redskins are practicing with a sense of urgency and are focused on winning a big divisional game against the Cowboys.

--Multiple topics were up for discussion such as a reduced preseason and an expanded playoff field in the NFL owners meeting on Tuesday.

--Front-office executives and former players comment on whether the Redskins are a playoff team or a team scrambling to be a lackluster 8-8.
