--Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett is encouraged by the defense, especially their third-down defense. Opponents are only converting at 36.4% which is ranked 11th in the league according to ESPN stats.

--Rookie cornerback David Amerson looks to improve from a solid performance in Oakland where he had a 45-yard pick-six and how his coaches and teammates have embraced his role.

--Is the HBO show “Hard Knocks” on the horizon for the Washington Redskins? Probaly not.

--Lack of confidence is a non-issue according to nose tackle Barry Cofield and after sweeping the Cowboys last year the Redskins are looking for their third strait victory against Dallas.

--A look at which defensive schemes worked best against Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. The last time defensive coordinator Jim Haslett faced Romo, he sent constant pressure and his defense came away with three interceptions.
