WATCH LIVE: Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon

Posted Aug 22, 2014

Tune in about 12:30 p.m. to watch the LIVE feed of the 53rd-annual Washington Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon.

Tune in about 12:30 p.m. Friday to watch the LIVE feed of the 53rd-annual Washington Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon, hosted by the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and the Redskins Alumni Association.

Fans will celebrate the burgundy and gold in the nation's capital and kick off the 2014 football season with Redskins players, coaches, cheerleaders and alumni.

The Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon is the only event where fans and corporate partners have the chance to spend time with the entire Redskins team. Each table is guaranteed at least one player or coach seated with attendees.

Four Redskins players will be honored at the luncheon with the following 2013 season awards; Bobby Mitchell Offensive Player of the Year Award, Sam Huff Defensive Player of the Year Award, Community Service Award and the Redskins Salute Award, honoring one player for his involvement with the military community.

This year, Redskins players will enter the Welcome Home Luncheon by position group. Each group will be led by a football player who has been involved in one of the Redskins Charitable Foundation's football programs, and will don the jersey of his school team.

Proceeds from the Welcome Home Luncheon will benefit the youth programs of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Redskins Alumni Association.

For more information on the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation's programs and events or to donate, visit www.redskins.com/community or follow the Foundation on Twitter @RedskinsCR.
