Redskins Release 2014 Preseason Schedule

Posted Apr 9, 2014

The Washington Redskins on Wednesday announced their four-game preseason schedule

The Washington Redskins today announced their 2014 preseason schedule.

Specific dates and times for all non-nationally-televised games will be determined at a later date.

Washington's 2014 preseason schedule is as follows:

The Redskins open up their 2014 preseason slate at home against the New England Patriots. The Patriots -- led by head coach Bill Belichick -- finished the 2013 season with a 12-4 record, winning the AFC East Division championship. The team lost 26-16 to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game.

The second preseason game for the Redskins is a nationally-televised contest on ESPN against the Cleveland Browns at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at FedExField. The Browns -- led by first-year head coach Mike Pettine -- finished the 2013 season with a 4-12 record.

The Redskins end their 2014 preseason schedule with two road games, beginning with a matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens -- who won the Super Bowl in 2012 -- finished the 2013 season with an 8-8 record, and did not qualify for the postseason. They are coached by John Harbaugh.

The final game of the 2014 preseason for Washington is at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs -- led by first-year coach Lovie Smith -- also finished the 2013 season with a 4-12 record.
