Posted Dec 23, 2012

The National Football League announce the the Week 17 Redskins-Cowboys matchup will be moved from a 1 p.m. start to primetime on Sunday Night Football.

The Week 17 Washington Redskins-Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday, December 30 will be played at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, the NFL announced today.

With the first game between these two teams played on Thanksgiving Day, this will be their second nationally-televised matchup this season.

This is the second time this season that NBC has flexed a game to Sunday Night Football, with this week’s San Francisco 49ers-Seattle Seahawks game moving from an afternoon matchup to the night game.

This is the third nationally-televised game for the Redskins this season, with the first Cowboys game and the Week 13 Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants already in the books.

The Redskins are 2-0 in front of a national television audience this season.
