The Redskins play in Buffalo for the first time since Oct. 19, 2003. Last year, the Redskins and Bills faced off in the regular season in Toronto, with the Bills collecting a 23-0 win.
The Chicago preseason game is the Redskins' first against the Bears since 1976. The last Redskins preseason victory against the Bears came on Sept. 9, 1973, when the Redskins defeated the Bears 17-3.
In the third week of preseason, the Redskins face the Colts for a franchise record-setting 21st time in preseason play. Last year, the Redskins defeated the Colts 16-3 at Lucas Oil Stadium in preseason.
The game features the two teams currently holding the first two picks in the 2012 NFL Draft.
The Redskins will close preseason at home against Tampa Bay for the second consecutive year. Last year, the Redskins defeated the Buccaneers at FedExField 29-24 in Week 4 of preseason on a 41-yard touchdown pass in the game’s final minutes.
