In honor of the Washington Redskins’ 80th anniversary, the team will announce its “10 For 80” winners at the 51st annual Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m.
The winning 10 players, selected by fans and a blue ribbon panel, will be honored at the luncheon and will join the 70 Greatest Redskins to create the 80 Greatest Redskins of All Time.
This will mark the first time in Redskins history that fans could vote for the Greatest Redskins of All-Time.
The 51st annual Redskins Welcome Home Luncheon, hosted by the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and Redskins Alumni Association, is the only event where fans and corporate partners have the chance to spend time with the entire Redskins team.
Each table is guaranteed at least one player or coach seated with the attendees. Fans can celebrate the burgundy and gold in the nation’s capital and kick off the 2012 football season with Redskins players, coaches and alumni.
The luncheon also includes unique live and silent auction items, door and raffle prizes and the announcement of the 2011 Redskins Players of the Year.
This is the ninth consecutive year that the ticket price has remained at $175. The last chance to purchase tickets to the special 80th anniversary Welcome Home Luncheon is Thursday, Aug. 23.
