The 100-yard rushing game was Morris’ sixth of the season, marking the most 100-yard rushing games in a season by a Redskin since 2008 (Clinton Portis – six).
The last 12 players to rush for 100 yards in a game for the Redskins have all been rookies, including one by fellow rookie ![]()
Morris (1,228) and Griffin III (748) have combined for 1,976 rushing yards, the most by rookies on any team since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.
Morris received his 236th carry of the season in the first quarter, breaking the Redskins’ record for rushing attempts in a rookie season. The previous record was held by Mike Thomas, who had 235 carries in 1975.
Fans can vote for one of these five players on NFL.com/rookies beginning Tuesday at 9 A.M. ET and ending on Friday at 3 P.M. ET to determine the NFL Rookie of the Week. The NFL Rookie of the Week will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi MAX NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January.
