Stephon Heyer has emerged as a starting-caliber offensive tackle in two years with the Redskins. He played in nine games in 2008, with seven starts, three at right tackle and four at left tackle. In 2007, as a rookie inserted into the starting lineup due to injuries, he held perennial Pro Bowl defensive end Michael Strahan without a sack. Heyer played college ball at Maryland and earned All-ACC honorable mention honors as a senior.
