Reed Doughty emerged as a starting safety in 2007 following the tragic death of Sean Taylor. He started in six of the last seven games and posted 51 tackles and half of a sack. The Redskins selected Doughty out of Northern Colorado in the sixth-round (173rd overall) in the 2006 NFL draft. He is regarded as a solid coverage safety who fits the Redskins aggressive defensive scheme.
