Mike Sellers has emerged as one of the most versatile and valuable players on the Redskins’ roster. His abilities include being a solid run blocker, a reliable pass-catching target and a short yardage runner in the red zone. For his efforts, he was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2008. In 131 career NFL games, with 48 starts, Sellers has 85 catches for 680 yards. He has 19 career touchdowns, three as a rusher and 16 as a receiver. Additionally, he is a leader on the special teams units, excelling on the punt and kickoff coverage units (161 career special teams stops). He became the youngest player ever to sign a professional football contract with CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos in 1995.
